Optum Scholarships

Congratulations to Shaun Russell, Leaving Certificate Class of 2023, who received an Optum Ireland Healthcare Scholarship. Shaun was one of 14 students to receive a scholarship and was presented with his Award on Friday night at a special ceremony held at Rockhill House. He is currently studying Computer Science at ATU and the scholarship he received is for the duration of his degree.
Artur Krzyszkowski, past student of St. Eunan’s College, was also in attendance on Friday night. He received an Optum scholarship in 2020 following his Leaving Certificate, and he is now in the final year of his Biomedical Science Degree at the University of Galway.
We are so proud of both Shaun and Artur and wish them continued success in their studies.

Coffee Morning/Plant Sale Saturday 9th March: The Parents Association of St Eunan’s College will hold their annual Coffee morning in the College on Saturday, 9th March from 9.30 am to 1 pm. A Plant Sale, supplied by the Horticulture students at the College will take place too. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Secondary School Drama Festival Award Winners

Our first ever secondary school drama festival entry and our amazing cast came away with four awards for their production of ‘The Outsiders’.

Best Actor Overall went to Matthew Devenney (1st Year)

*Recognition awards* went to:
Abin Jijo (5th year) for outstanding speech award

Colby Farrell (3rd Year) and crew for outstanding physical activity on stage in the fight scene

Whole Cast – Equality and Teamwork

A huge thank you to everyone in the Balor Arts Centre, the festival coordinator Ms Teresa McNulty, Ms Bernie Thompson, and all at the Butt Drama Circle. It was a fantastic event for all our fabulous young thespians. A special word of thanks to the amazing adjudicator, Ms. Maura Logue, who provided our cast with incredible feedback and knowledge that they will take with them in their drama careers ahead.

Bishop Alan is the Patron of St Eunan’s College and has been a great supporter and visitor to the College over the years.
