Donegal Sports Star Awards

Last Monday, 6th January, the 1979 Senior Gaelic and Soccer teams of St. Eunan’s College were acknowledged by the Donegal Sports Star Awards for their remarkable success winning their respective All Ireland Finals. The soccer team managed by Fr. Leo Mohan defeated Beneavin College, Dublin 2-0, while the Gaelic Team, managed by Mr. Paddy Tunney, defeated St. Fintan’s of Dublin, by 2-06 – 2-05; which Donegal’s first All-Ireland title in Gaelic Games. Pictured are members of both panels in addition to present students and St. Eunan’s College Principal, Mr. Damien McCroary.

Ulster Schools Swimming Gala

Congratulations to the St. Eunan’s College Swim Team which travelled to Larne on Saturday morning to compete in the Ulster Schools Swimming Gala where they competed against a host of other schools from across Ulster. Our boys swam well in their individual events and narrowly missed out on individual finals, however, in the truest testimony to their teamwork and collective resolve they won silver in the team relays. Well done to all involved.

Historical Survey

An exciting day in the history of St. Eunan’s College began at first light as a historical survey of the castle building got underway. The tower crane, above the silhouette of the castle, marks another step in the road to the redevelopment of our school and campus. More surveys will take place over the upcoming weeks and months. An auspicious opening of an exciting decade for St. Eunan’s College.
