Due to Storm Isha, electricity is out in Saint Eunan’s College and damage has been caused to some trees on the grounds. Saint Eunan’s will be closed on Monday 22nd of January as a result.

Please take care this morning and avoid unnecessary travel.

Due to the continued cold spell and on health and safety grounds, Saint Eunan’s College will remain closed tomorrow, Friday 19th Jan.

Exam year students can access their lockers from 9.30 to 11am tomorrow if materials are required.

Huge congratulations to Jerald Baiju, 3rd year here at St Eunan’s College.

He participated in the U17 Connacht Open Badminton Tournament (All Ireland) in last weekend. He won Silver in mixed doubles category.

What a fantastic achievement, especially as Jerald is two years below the age threshold. Good luck in your quest to qualify for the Irish Team who will travel to Sweden next year

Congratulations to all the winners of our prizes in our parents Association Christmas Draw. We would like to express our thanks to all who bought and sold lines for our draw, to our hard working Parents Association and especially all the kind and generous sponsors of prizes, without which the draw could not take place.

Senior Options for Academic Year 2024/25: During Term 2, 3rd Year and Transition Year students will be asked to make decisions on options available within Senior House of St Eunan’s College. All Third Year Classes and Transitions Years will receive a presentation from the Guidance Department and Transition Year Coordinator on all the options available (Transition Year; Leaving Cert Established; Leaving Cert Vocational, Leaving Cert Applied). This will begin next Tuesday (19th December) with all 3rd Year Students. It will continue with both Year Groups after the Christmas break. Information Evenings will take place for Parents/Guardians too. These events will take place online and a link will be sent out prior to the presentation. Please note and save the dates:

Transition Year (TY) Presentation Evening: A look at the Transition Year options available for St. Eunan’s College and what it entails. This evening is for Third Year Parents/Guardians who want to learn more about our TY Programme. This will take place on Tuesday, 30th January 2024.
Senior Options Presentation Evening: A brief look at all options available (Transition Year/Leaving Cert Applied/Leaving Cert Established/Leaving Cert Vocational Programme) and on available subject choices for those moving into Fifth Year. This will take place on Thursday, 1st February 2024.
Senior Option Forms will be distributed digitally following these two Presentation evenings. More details to follow on this at a later stage.
